BYRGA GENIHT

Unlocking England's culture

‘Byrga geniht’ is Old English for ‘a good enough house’ — fitting, given that we advise country houses, palaces and churches across England.

We have rediscovered the lost roots of our national culture — in particular, traditional and architectural practices based around the rhombic dodecahedron; a 3D shape with profound significance from the time of the Romans, right up until the knowledge was lost 100 years ago.

References to this shape are scattered across buildings spanning centuries, but without the underlying knowledge, they are hard to recognise. We can decode buildings and help the public to reconnect with their heritage.

PAST PROJECT PARTNERS

INTERPRETATION

With the work of James D. Wenn, we lead the field in the interpretation of archictured, gardens and art in stately architecture.

Our unique intellectual property has unlocked centuries of previously forgotten culture.

ENGAGEMENT

We deliver public and private lectures. These can be tailored to a specific site or theme.

We also exhibit contemporary art designed to reconnect people to English culture.

PUBLIC RELATIONS

We can give written or verbal advice on how best to manage your cultural assets.

Advice is tailored to your location, whether for strategic direction or outreach and engagement.

THE FUTURE

We aim to reconnect England with its lost heritage and culture.

We use celebrations, new works of art, education, and forming links between estates.

Preservation of meaning is the only meaningful preservation.
