Feretory Completed

James and James joined Tim Ashton in completing the sculpture 'Feretory' in the Epidaurus Court at Soulton Hall, protecting the burial site of St Erkenwald, Patron Saint of the City of London.

The occasion was honoured by three coincidental events, one human and two celestial. We were interviewed by the BBC for forthcoming coverage, and witnessed both the partial solar eclipse, and the Perseid Meteor Shower. Of these, the first two were easiest to catch a photograph!

With the flag of the City of London proudly flying, we had the privilege of observing the solar eclipse from Soulton's roof. It felt like Tycho Brahe's Uraniborg, or the Royal Observatory in Greenwich (both buildings likely inspired by Soulton Hall, as per Soulton's identity as the 'missing link' predicted by the late great Mark Girouard with reference to Soulton's sister house, Bach y Graig).
