Flatford Mill

Merry Christmas from both of us at BYRGA GENIHT!

We spent the festive season on the Essex-Suffolk border, and paid a visit to the blissfully quiet Flatford Mill, made famous by John Constable's painting The Hay Wain. Still instantly identifiable after 204 years, the mill building seems almost ready to drift down the River Stour in this languid slice of English countryside.
