Getting Triggy With It: Matt Parker Does the Maths

14 March 2026

Nobody gets the public to engage with maths with more humour, eccentricity or commitment than Matt Parker, so of course we had to see his live show.

Getting Triggy With It: Matt Parker Does the Maths is coming to the end of this winter run, but will be back in the autumn. We won't be giving any spoilers on this page, but the show is full of live demos, silly skits, and incredible feats of imagination, programming and mathematical derring-do. It may be well-rehearsed, but plenty is based on unpredictable audience input, so the tech really has to work, and there is plenty of scope for mischief.

Matt knows that not everyone in the audience is an avid follower of his YouTube channel, and the level is pitched to be accessible to everyone. We give it a 5-star review, and encourage everyone to catch it when it comes to their town.

We were delighted to meet with Matt before the show and share with him the magic of Medieval architectural mathematics, and give him one of our exclusive tea towels. We agree with Matt that maths is for everyone, and forever.
