The Radway Estate

Last month, we paid a visit to the Radway estate in Warwickshire. Both directors of BYRGA GENIHT used to visit the iconic Castle pub (shown) when we lived in the Midlands, long before we made our discoveries of the English Mysteries.

Our reason for visiting again was because the architect Sanderson Miller (who lived his whole life at Radway) is emerging as one of the key players in the continuity of the great English architectural traditions. He added the tower to The Castle, and its eight-sided design should already attract the attention of regular readers of this site.

The views from Edgehill are stunning, even in the worst weather, and we recommend anyone passing by the area to make a stop to enjoy it.
